A non-profit providing a haven of learning for children from birth through high school.

The
Earth Learning Center
Good Earth Learning Center serves families who desire to introduce their children to a practical and fun way to learn through hands-on nature-based experiences. Fully immersed in nature our programs are student led and project based.
We are heavily involved in the Governors initiative paired with the Dept of Education and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission whose mission is also to get children out in the forests and parks. This initiative is designed to teach developmentally appropriate activities where children learn conservation, the wildlife who inhabit our space, and how to identify trees and plants in our state and particularly in our space in central Arkansas.

Good Earth Learning Center is moving toward a Waldorf certification to more fully embrace a wholistic approach to learning starting with our youngest learners and continuing through 12th grade.
We serve children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old in the day program and children
k-12th grade in our Forest Learning Collective.
We offer spring break, summer & winter day camps for k-12th grade.

Our Forest Produce
We take pride in our forest produce. Our seasonal fruits and vegetables are grown in a sustainable manner, and harvested with care. We believe in nourishing our bodies with fresh, healthy food while also respecting the environment.

Our Forest
The forest is our classroom. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to experience nature and learn about the ecosystem that sustains us. Our forest is a safe and engaging space where children can explore and learn, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Environmental Stewardship
At Friends of the Forest, we are committed to environmental stewardship. We believe that we have a responsibility to protect and preserve the natural world for future generations. We promote sustainable practices and work to educate our community about the importance of caring for the environment.
